Marilyn Klawiter
Marilyn F. Klawiter 86 of South Bend, died Jan 18 2018 12:00AM at Memorial Hospital. She was born on Oct 10 1931 12:00AM in Grand Rapids, MI to George F, Haney and Loretta (Knight) Haney. Marilyn was the heart and soul of her family, admired by her friends, and will be missed beyond words. She was a parishioner of the Sacred Heart Parish, Notre Dame for over 52 years, where she went to Mass daily and was active with many parish picnics, funeral luncheons, Bible study groups, clubs, and activities. She was an avid reader of mystery novels and loved perusing the shelves at the library weekly. She also loved to swim daily, play Bridge and Canasta weekly, and loved anything to do with cats, especially the family cat, Bud. She married Randolph J. Klawiter on Aug 28 1954. She is survived by her husband Randolph J. Klawiter. Surviving children include Jeanne (Jim) Zacek of Rensselaer, IN, Loretta (Armando) Garza of Mercedes, TX, and Anne (David) Szumski of South Bend; four sons, David (Lori) Klawiter of South Bend, Thomas (Susan) Klawiter of Palmdale, CA, Jerome (Kathy) Klawiter of South Bend, and John (Renee) Klawiter of Elkhart, IN; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Surviving siblings include a sister, Catherine Haney; and a brother, Donald (Mary Margaret) Haney, both of Grand Rapids, MI. Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr., South Bend is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from A Memorial Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m., with the Rosary at 5:00 p.m., on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 . A memorial service will conducted at A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 am Thursday, January 25, 2018 at the Scared Heart Parish Center, 1873 Moreau Drive (old Douglas Rd.), Notre Dame, with a Luncheon immediately following
